👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the Oven & Prep the Puff Pastry
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly roll out both puff pastry sheets to smooth out any creases.
2️⃣ Assemble the Stacks
- If using, spread Dijon mustard on one of the puff pastry sheets for added flavor.
- Layer the sheet with shredded mozzarella, cheddar cheese, and slices of deli ham. Season with garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and gently press down to seal the layers together.
- Cut the layered pastry into 3″x3″ squares.
- Stack two squares together, adding extra cheese between layers if desired.
3️⃣ Egg Wash & Bake
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to make the egg wash.
- Brush the tops of each stacked pastry square with the egg wash, then sprinkle with extra cheese and cracked black pepper.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden and puffed up.
4️⃣ Cool & Serve
- Let the puff pastry stacks cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce (e.g., marinara, ranch, or honey mustard).
