Creamy Cafeteria-Style Noodles

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Noodles

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package directions until tender but not mushy (usually 6–8 minutes).
  3. Drain the noodles and set aside.

2️⃣ Make the Creamy Sauce

  1. In the same pot over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the condensed cream of chicken soup and chicken broth. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  3. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir to combine and heat until simmering.

3️⃣ Combine & Finish

  1. Return the drained noodles to the pot with the sauce.
  2. Gently fold the noodles into the sauce until they’re fully coated and creamy.
  3. Let simmer on low for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the noodles to absorb the flavors.
  4. Serve warm as a side dish or light main course.
