Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain any excess fat.

Mix filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine:

Cooked beef and onion

Cream of mushroom soup

Cream of chicken soup

Sour cream

Diced tomatoes

½ cup cheddar cheese
Mix until fully blended.

Assemble:

Layer frozen tater tots in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.

Pour the beef mixture evenly over the top.

Sprinkle remaining ½ cup cheddar cheese over the casserole.

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
