Let the meatloaf rest for several minutes before slicing so the juices redistribute and the slices hold together more cleanly. For serving, cut into even slices using a sharp knife, and serve with classic sides such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or buttered corn.

Leftovers can be cooled completely and refrigerated in an airtight container. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave, adding a light cover to maintain moisture. This meatloaf also holds up well for next-day sandwiches when sliced cold.
