Chocolate Ding Dong Cake

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Ganache Topping:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions

Step 1: Bake the Cake

  1. Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box. Prepare the cake mix by combining it with eggs, oil, and water, then mix according to the box instructions until smooth.
  2. Pour the cake batter into a greased round cake pan, ensuring it’s evenly spread out. Bake according to the time specified on the box, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely before assembling.
