Make the Cheesy Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, grated parmesan, lemon juice, chopped parsley, and the optional Old Bay or Cajun seasoning if using. Stir thoroughly until the mixture becomes smooth, creamy, and fully blended. The softened cream cheese should incorporate easily, creating a rich, cohesive base without lumps.
Combine Everything
Add the warm shrimp and crab mixture into the creamy cheese base. Mix gently but evenly, ensuring the seafood is well distributed throughout the dip without breaking up the shrimp or crab too much. The goal is an even balance of seafood and cheese in every scoop.
Bake
- Spread the mixture evenly into a small baking dish, smoothing the top for uniform baking.
- Sprinkle generously with extra mozzarella and cheddar, then finish with a light dusting of paprika or chili flakes for added color and a subtle hint of heat.
- Bake at 190°C for 18–22 minutes, or until the dip is fully heated through, bubbling around the edges, and golden on top.
