Cassava Dumplings with Meat Recipe

Make-Ahead and Storage Tips: If you have leftover dumplings, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. To reheat, simply place them in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 5-7 minutes until they are warmed through and crispy again. You can also freeze the uncooked dumplings before frying. Place them on a baking sheet and freeze until solid, then transfer them to a freezer-safe bag. When ready to cook, fry them directly from frozen, adding an extra 1-2 minutes to the frying time.

Notes: If you can’t find dried beef, you can substitute with other types of meat such as shredded chicken or ground beef, though the flavor will be different. Be sure to adjust the seasoning to taste if you make substitutions.

Tips: When frying the dumplings, make sure the oil is hot enough, or the dumplings may absorb too much oil and become greasy. A thermometer is helpful to ensure the oil reaches the correct temperature (around 180°C or 350°F).
