Cajun Garlic Butter Shrimp with Toasted Bread

Instructions

  1. Make the Garlic Butter Shrimp:
Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter melts and blends with the oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until aromatic, making sure it doesn’t brown. Add the shrimp to the skillet, then season with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to coat the shrimp evenly in the buttery seasoning blend. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, allowing the shrimp to turn pink, opaque, and lightly golden around the edges. If desired, finish with a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten the flavor. Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped parsley over the top.
  2. Make the Toasted Bread:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush both sides of each bread slice with the melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder and a bit of parsley. Place the slices on a baking sheet and bake for 7–10 minutes until they are golden brown, crisp, and fragrant. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly so they stay crunchy when served alongside the shrimp.
  3. Serve:
Transfer the Cajun garlic butter shrimp to a serving dish, spooning extra sauce over the top. Arrange the toasted bread on the side so it can be dipped into the buttery garlic sauce. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
