Baking and Serving
- Fold and Bake: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as this can affect the cake’s tender texture. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The top should be lightly golden, and the cake should spring back gently when touched.
- Cool: Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for several minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Let the cake cool completely before slicing to ensure clean cuts and the best texture.
