Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls – Soft, Sweet, and Swirled

Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, salt, mashed banana, and 2 cups of the flour. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

2. Fill and Roll

  1. Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle (about 12×18 inches).
  2. Spread softened butter over the dough. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the butter.
  3. Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a tight log. Slice into 12 even rolls.

3. Rise Again & Bake

  1. Place rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30–45 minutes, until puffy.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 22–25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

4. Glaze & Serve

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
  2. Let cool slightly and enjoy while still soft and warm!
