Homemade Dandelion Syrup

This homemade Dandelion Syrup is a beautiful way to capture spring in a jar. Sweet, fragrant, and lightly citrusy from lemon, it’s perfect for drizzling over pancakes, stirring into tea, or even using in cocktails. With only a few ingredients and a little patience, you’ll have a naturally golden syrup that tastes like sunshine.

🌼 Ingredients

  • 4 cups dandelion flowers (just the yellow petals)
  • 4 cups water
  • 2½ cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh or bottled)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Harvest & Prep the Flowers

  • Pick fresh, bright yellow dandelion flowers from a pesticide-free area.
  • Remove most of the green parts (sepals) from each flower, keeping just the yellow petals to avoid bitterness.
  • Rinse the petals gently in a colander to remove dirt or bugs. Let them drain well.

2️⃣ Infuse the Petals
